Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has firmly dismissed reports suggesting he is in talks with French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille, insisting he remains fully committed to his role with the Nigerian national team.

The speculation, which was previously alleged by journalist Oluwashina Okeléji, claimed that the French side had shown interest in securing Chelle’s services to renegotiate his current contract with the Nigeria Football Federation.

Speaking on Canal Sport TV, Chelle addressed the rumors directly, stating, “I am still the coach of Nigeria. There has been no contact with Marseille, and my focus is entirely on my job with the Super Eagles.” The coach made it clear that he has not engaged in any discussions with the French club and dismissed the reports as inaccurate.

Chelle’s denial aims to put an end to the distractions surrounding his future. As he prepares the Super Eagles for upcoming international assignments, he reiterated his dedication to the Nigerian project, confirming that his attention remains on the team’s objectives rather than external speculation.
