Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium on Wednesday, courtesy of an early strike from Bukayo Saka in the ninth minute.

The win lifts the Gunners back to the summit of the Premier League, but the match was overshadowed by post-match complaints from Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler regarding Arsenal's game management in the closing stages.

According to reports, Hurzeler was visibly frustrated with what he perceived as time-wasting tactics from the visitors. "The Premier League has to find a rule because that was not football what Arsenal did today," the Brighton boss said. "Have you seen a goalkeeper go down three times in one game? I think that says enough. No words needed for that, for Arsenal. Everyone can judge on their own. I'm sure you don't like to watch these football games. In the end, football fans want to see football games and not a time of waste."

Despite the German coach's complaints, Arsenal held firm to secure a vital three points on the road. Hurzeler, while critical of the opposition, praised his own team's supporters but insisted the focus should remain on his side's performance. "We already spoke too much about Arsenal and how they acted today. We should focus on us," he concluded. The victory underscores Arsenal's title credentials, showcasing their ability to win even when not at their fluent best.
