The Confederation of African Football has postponed the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be hosted in Morocco. The tournament was originally planned to run from March 17 to April 3, 2026, but the governing body has now moved the competition to a later period in the year.
According to sources, CAF confirmed the change through an announcement on its official website, stating that the tournament will now begin on July 25 and end on August 16, 2026. Morocco will continue as the host nation, with matches expected to take place in several stadiums across the country as teams prepare for the competition.
The competition usually features leading national teams from across Africa battling for the continental title. With the new schedule confirmed, participating countries will now adjust their preparation plans, including training camps and squad selections, ahead of the tournament’s kickoff in Morocco later in July 2026.
