The Malian Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has confirmed that he is closely monitoring Nigerian players born abroad who have shown interest in representing the national team.

According to the Super Eagles Supporters Club reports, the Nigerian Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, made it clear that not every foreign-born player seeking a call-up would automatically be invited into the squad. He explained that only players who can compete at the highest level, strengthen the team, and fit into his game philosophy would be considered. Chelle noted that competition for places is healthy and necessary, adding that every selected player must show commitment, discipline, and readiness to fight for the national colours.

The Malian tactician further stated that his technical crew is working closely with scouts and analysts to track eligible players across different leagues. He believes this approach will help the Super Eagles maintain depth and quality while preparing for upcoming international competitions.
