Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has paid a heartfelt tribute to two Super Eagles players who lost their loved ones during the ongoing football season. The Galatasaray striker expressed his sympathy and solidarity with his international teammates following the tragic family losses that have recently affected the Nigerian football community.
The Galatasaray striker took to his Instagram to tag captain Wilfred Ndidi and winger Samuel Chukwueze to grant strength and comfort, writing, “Dear brothers, Chukwueze and Ndidi, may God grant your parents eternal peace and give you strength during difficult times,” he shared, while adding emotional emojis to underline the depth of his message.
Samuel Chukwueze, a key winger for both the Super Eagles and his club side, was thrown into mourning following the death of his mother, Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze, after a brief illness. The sad news was made public by his brother, David Chukwueze, who shared emotional tributes on Instagram to announce the painful loss.
Wilfred Ndidi, the Super Eagles captain, also endured a personal loss this season, further deepening the emotional toll on the national team.
