Regragui Defiant After Nigeria Clash, Hails Morocco’s Home Strength

Morocco coach Ragragui speaks at the conference

Following the Nigeria verse Morocco match on Wednesday 13 2026, the North African coach Regragui stated his last words during a conference.

The Atlas Lions head coach addressed journalists after the highly anticipated international fixture, reflecting on Morocco’s recent journey, expectations, and the pressure that comes with leading a top African football nation.

Regragui acknowledged that coaching at international level comes with constant scrutiny, especially in a football-loving country like Morocco where results are closely monitored. Despite this, he maintained a calm and confident tone, stressing that his focus remains on preparation, discipline, and collective responsibility within the squad rather than fear of criticism or dismissal.

Speaking to fans at the Morocco conference, Ragragui addresses his national team as a one of the strongest African team, “When you play in Morocco you are facing only Moroccan fans not Dortmund or Madrid fans. This stadium is always different for opponents and you will always feel it when you are on the pitch,” Regragui told a press conference.

Regragui also spoke about the realities of football management, admitting that job security is never guaranteed regardless of past achievements. He reminded reporters that even with strong performances, including Morocco’s historic fourth-place finish at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, pressure remains part of the profession. However, he emphasized that his commitment is to continue building a competitive and united team capable of challenging any opponent.
