French professional footballer Lucas François Bernard Hernández has made a unique addition to his home decor, purchasing a massive, man-made gorilla sculpture that is designed to hold his 2018 World Cup trophy. The four-metre tall replica animal now serves as a permanent and eye-catching display case for the gold medal he earned on football’s biggest stage.

The Paris Saint-Germain defender documented the delivery process in a video shared on his social media. The clip shows the giant gorilla toy, complete with the World Cup attached to its hands, being transported on the back of a large red and blue truck. Following the delivery, Hernández placed the oversized figure in a central location within his residence in France, ensuring it stands as a prominent reminder of the hard work and success of his 2018 World Cup campaign.

Hernández introduced the impressive new fixture to his followers on his Instagram account, captioning the post with the simple phrase, "new friend just move in."
