Victor Osimhen hails 'visionary' Gündoğan as key leader

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has spoken ahead of Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester City, scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Speaking to the press ahead of the fixture, the Galatasaray forward praised Manchester City for their consistent dominance and impressive performances in the Champions League. Osimhen acknowledged the quality within Pep Guardiola’s squad while stressing the importance of focus and preparation. “Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world. We’re going to play the game. We’ll focus on the league first, then we’ll focus on that game,” he stated, showing respect for the English champions.

Osimhen, who finished third with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, recently joined the Turkish side in training as preparations intensify for the European showdown. The striker admitted the challenge ahead will be demanding but expressed confidence in his teammates’ ability to compete. “It won’t be easy, but I trust my team. I’m looking at it positively, and we can get something out of there. Let’s play a good game like we did against Atletico; that’s the most important,” he added.
